1. Who we are

This website is run by Mancunian Brands Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17182810).

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as pixels, scripts and local storage, work in much the same way, and this policy covers them too.

Some cookies are essential: the site can’t work properly without them, so they don’t need your permission. Others are optional, such as analytics or advertising cookies, and we only use those if you agree.

3. How we use cookies

Right now we use one cookie, and it’s essential: it remembers the choice you make in our cookie banner. We don’t currently use any analytics or advertising cookies.

We may add optional analytics and advertising tools in future. Section 5 lists the ones we’re considering.

Any we add will stay switched off unless you turn them on. Nothing optional runs before you make a choice, and you can change your mind at any time (see section 7).

Where cookies or the services in section 6 involve personal information, we rely on your consent for optional cookies. For essential cookies and those services, we rely on our legitimate interests in running a secure website that works properly.

Analytics and marketing cookies

None in use yet. If we add any of the tools in section 5, we’ll list their cookies here before they go live.

5. Tools we may add in future

We don’t use any of these tools today. We list them so you know what we might add as our marketing grows.

• Google Analytics (analytics): to show us how people use our site, such as which pages are viewed, so we can improve it
• Webflow Analyze (analytics): Webflow’s built-in analytics, showing how people use and move around our site
• LinkedIn Insight Tag (marketing): to measure our LinkedIn ads and show our ads on LinkedIn to people who have visited our site
• Meta Pixel (marketing): to measure our Facebook and Instagram ads and show our ads there to people who have visited our site
• TikTok Pixel (marketing): to measure our TikTok ads and show our ads on TikTok to people who have visited our site
• Google Ads (marketing): to measure our Google ads and show our ads across Google’s network to people who have visited our site

Before we switch any of these on, we’ll add it to our cookie banner and update this policy with its cookies and how long they last. It will only run if you agree.

6. Other services on our website

These services receive some information from your browser when you use our site. Our scan found no optional cookies from any of them.

• Webflow hosts our website, including its images and fonts. Like any web host, it receives your IP address and basic browser details when you visit.
• Cloudflare Turnstile protects our forms from spam and bots. It checks technical signals such as your IP address and browser details. Cloudflare says these are used to detect bots, not to identify, profile or target individuals (Turnstile privacy addendum). It’s used for security, so it doesn’t need your consent.
• Consent Pro runs our cookie banner. It receives your IP address when each page loads, so it can tell which region you’re in and show the right banner. When you make a choice, it keeps a record so we can show we asked properly (see section 8).
• Carma: our Commitments page shows a figure from our Carma profile, which your browser fetches from Carma when the page loads, so Carma receives your IP address. The Carma map only loads if you choose to open it, and Carma’s own privacy policy then applies.

Some of these providers are based outside the UK, so information may be processed abroad. Our Privacy Policy explains how we protect it.

7. Managing your choices

When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you choose:

• Accept all: switch on all optional cookies
• Reject all: keep all optional cookies off
• Manage preferences: choose category by category

Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and the site works the same either way.

You can change your mind at any time using Cookie Settings at the bottom of every page, or the Preferences button in the bottom-left corner, which appears once you’ve made a choice. If you switch a category off, we stop using those cookies.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you delete the fs-consent cookie, we’ll simply ask for your choice again.

8. How long we keep your choice

The fs-consent cookie remembers your choice for 1 year. After that, our banner asks you again. You can change your choice sooner at any time through Cookie Settings.

Each time you make or change a choice, Consent Pro keeps a record of it so we can show that we asked properly. The record holds a random ID, your choices, the date and time, the page and banner wording you saw, your region and basic browser details. It doesn’t include your name or contact details. Consent Pro stores these records for 5 years (Consent Pro privacy policy).

9. Your rights, changes and contact

Where cookies involve personal information, you have rights under UK data protection law, such as the right to access or delete it. Our Privacy Policy explains these rights and how to use them.

If you’re unhappy with how we use your information, please contact us first at hello@mancunianbrands.com and we’ll acknowledge your complaint within 30 days. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at any time (how to complain to the ICO).

We’ll update this policy whenever we add or remove a tool, for example when Google Analytics or LinkedIn goes live. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
